NaNoWriMo 2014

Hellooooo, out there!

We've been silent for a few months, I know, but I have plans for the new year! Never fear! I need to run them by herecirm first, of course, but in the meantime, lets do what we always do in November: NaNoWriMo!

For the past few years, thewyrmx has taken a break from prompts every November for the event known as NaNoWriMo.

Lets talk about it! Post your daily word count so we can cheer you on! Post snippets so we can enjoy your wild imagination! Ask fact-based, or even ridiculous questions that have to do with your novel, you never know what kind of answers you'll get! Just know that we're here for you through the good, the bad, and the very, very ugly.

Here is a list of helpful communities and websites:
little_details. They are a community that helps writers with their research and fact-checking.

Fractal World Generator. Great for world building if you need any sort of physical reference for your world or are just looking for ideas.

Seventh Sanctum. A massive list of generators for almost anything you could want. Some are silly and some are serious, but most are a mix of the two. I've used this place for years.

Writing Exercises. A great site with prompts and generators.

Write or Die. This encourages you to keep writing, or it punishes you.

Written? Kitten! On the opposite end of the spectrum to Write or Die, this one rewards your word count with pictures of kittens!

If anybody wants to add me as a NaNo buddy, my username is Rainechan (and be sure to leave me a message either here or there, so that I know who you are and can add you back!).

For those of you who don't do NaNoWriMo, feel free to pick past monthly prompts. Just make sure that you tag them accordingly.

Happy noveling!

Ready for a quick word-sprint before bed,

Raine
