Although I knew that we are now February, it just now dawned on me that we are the first of the month, and that it's my turn to post the monthly prompts. Oops. XD

February is well known for Valentine's Day on the 14th (and less well known is my birthday on the 7th... Ahem!), so this month will not only reflect the feeling of love, but also the hatred on the other end of the spectrum.

This month's theme is: Love and Hate.

1- Your character discovers that their lover was all a figment of their imagination. What happens next?
2- Lover's quarrel.
3- Different views on love.
4- Write a drabble that will make the readers really HATE a character... with a twist that will make the readers LOVE the character in the end.
5- Write a story in the style of Romeo and Juliet.
6- Your character has to betray someone they love.
7- Your character writes a love letter.
8- Famous historical romance.
9- "Love makes you weak."
10- Love token.
11- Hate crime.
12- Love in unusual places.
13- A bad breakup/divorce.
14- First kiss.
15- Completely incompatible.
16- Forbidden love.
17- Three little words.
18- A hatred for all mankind.
19- Write a story about saying “I love you” without actually saying it.
20- Your character declares their love for another, but the feelings aren't mutual.
21- In love with life.
22- Revenge.
23- “If love is judged by it’s visible effects, it often looks more like hatred.” - François De La Rochefoucauld
24- Write a love scene. Don’t be cheesy. Don’t be cliché!
25- A romantic moment gone wrong.
26- “The man of knowledge must be able not only to love his enemies but also to hate his friends.”
― Friedrich Nietzsche
27- How does your character react to an arranged marriage?
28- “I don't hate you.. I just don't like that you exist.”
29- “Her hatred glittered irresistibly. I could see it, the jewel, it was sapphire, it was the cold lakes of Norway.”
― Janet Fitch, White Oleander
30- Love-hate relationship.

Please remember to tag your entries, and use this form on every post:

As always, please refer to the profile for more information and rules. Your next prompt list will be posted by herecirm on March 1st.

Also don't forget that you are not restrained by the prompts of this month, only! You can write to whatever prompt from previous months, too. Just be sure to tag and list them accordingly.

Lottery: Sometimes, the best creativity comes as a result of constraint. Leave a comment on this post with your character(s) name, and I will match a prompt with them at random. You might find yourself exploring a scene you wouldn't have thought of otherwise!
